Facing an unplanned pregnancy is hard. No one should have to go through it alone. If you have questions about parenting, adoption, or abortion, we are here to give you the support you need. Our services for birth mothers are always confidential and completely free. You can be connected to a Chrysalis House social worker seven days a week during or after office hours via phone at 559.229.9862, text 559.905.1000, or email. A social worker is also available to meet with you at our office, at your residence, or at a neutral location where you would be comfortable.


At Chrysalis House, we believe that you deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, and we do our best to make sure you feel supported during this process. Some of our services include:

  • Helping you determine if adoption is right for your with no obligation to complete an adoption plan
  • Advising you about your rights and options
  • Exploring open adoption and if it is right for you
  • Helping you choose and meet an adoptive family
  • Assisting with financial needs
  • Corresponding with birth father, if necessary
  • Emotional support during and after pregnancy

The goal of pregnancy is to give expectant parents the opportunity to explore their pregnancy options. We provide accurate information, caring support, and a non-judgmental environment so that you can make the decision that is right for you and your child. All pregnancy counseling services are confidential; rest assured that we will not share anything about your situation without your prior consent.

Adoption planning starts when you have decided that adoption is the right choice for your child. The goal is to create an adoption plan that honors your choices and wishes for your unborn child. Our desire is to give you support during your pregnancy as well as ease some of the stress you might be feeling. The amount of support you receive is dependent on your needs and desires. If you find that this process is emotionally difficult and you need more counseling and support, your adoption plan will include more ot these services. Throughout the process, your social worker will be there for emotional support while also walking you through the adoption plan step by step.
